Knect

Terms of service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Knect is a private project created by Joshua Herzig-Marx (the "owner") for the owner's personal use. These terms explain the status of the project and this website.

Private project, not a public service

Knect is not a hosted service and is not offered to the public. There are no accounts, subscriptions or customers. It runs on the owner's own computer, and this website is informational only.

Possible open-source release

The owner may release Knect as open source on GitHub in the future. If that happens, the source code will be governed by the license published with it, and this page will be updated. Until then, no license to use, copy or distribute the software is granted.

Your own use

If you ever run a released version of Knect yourself, you run it on your own computer, with your own accounts, and you are responsible for the data you connect to it and for following the terms of the services you connect, including Google's.

No warranty

The software and this website are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The owner is not liable for any loss or damage arising from their use, to the extent permitted by law.

Google data

How Knect handles data received from Google is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

These terms may change. The current version is the one posted here.
